Cases Of Lyme Disease Have Hit Double Digits For Three Straight Years

From her kitchen window, Denise Swenson has a perfect vantage point to watch a daily parade of deer that feast on her azaleas and provide a host for the tiny black ticks that spread Lyme disease. Since moving to the neighborhood on the Canton-Milton line five years ago, Swenson and her husband have been twice diagnosed with the debilitating illness. “We’ve had it; the woman next door has had it, and then there’s a couple across the street and her mother,” Swenson said. “You go down a little ways and that couple have it and their daughter had it.
