Within these groups of individuals across the United States and other countries, there are fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters and so forth. As Dr. Jemsek states, “sooner or later” your family will be affected by this growing disease and you, too, will be trying to make a difference

Cathy is a daughter, devoted mother, grandmother, friend, and confidante. As a mother Cathy cared for her daughter which became ill with Lyme Disease when she was eleven. Later, her Cathy’s granddaughter also was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Cathy offers support to others by guiding them to other avenues for information as well as providing support to those that reach out to her. I just recently heard that her granddaughter is doing well at this time; however, her daughter still remains quite ill.
