If Had Received The Right Treatment Immediately, I Would Not Suffered For 7 Yrs

CautionLyme’s disease mum welcomes new research

A MOTHER from South Tyneside who has battled a debilitating disease for seven years has welcomed new research into the condition.  Victoria Lee was bitten by an insect while living in Spain in 2005. Despite receiving treatment, she developed a rash on her arm, and began suffering from flu-like symptoms, headaches, anxiety, muscle weakness, numbness and nerve pain.  Frustrated by her situation, the 33-year-old moved back to the UK with her husband, Simon, 34, and their three children, and she was diagnosed with Lyme disease after carrying out her own research on the internet. Now the charity Lyme Disease Action has launched a survey to find out more about the condition, and to ensure sufferers are diagnosed and treated as early as possible. Read more.
