Illinois: Lyme Support Network

LymeSupportNetworkWithin these groups of individuals across the United States and other countries, there are fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters and so forth. As Dr. Jemsek states, “sooner or later” your family will be affected by this growing disease and you, too, will be trying to make a difference.

“In the Lymelight” ~ Lyme Support Network

Kimberly and Susan are friends, daughters, leaders, motivators, advocates, warriors, and dedicated, caring cheerleaders/supporters. Even despite their words being misquoted and distorted in a careless, biased and misleading news article, they continue their efforts in making a difference by providing their support to others that are struggling with Lyme Disease and the other tick-borne diseases. True warriors–they endured and remain steadfast in their efforts by providing educational, informational and awareness brochures and Under Our Skin film showings to the schools and around their community. They have also raised several funds for Lyme organizations by sponsoring Lyme Walks.

By creating Lyme Support Network about two years ago, Kimberly and Susan have given those that are dealing with the animosity, denial and loneliness of struggling with Lyme Disease a refuge when they need it the most by offering monthly meetings for support and education to many.
