Kansas Tick-Borne Disease Advocates, Inc., “started in 2009 as Friends helping Friends to access medical testing and treatment according to the International Lyme and Associated Diseases guidelines. We help people through empowerment and encouraging individual self advocacy. Also, we work hard to connect people with tick borne diseases to resources. We are raising money to help pay for testing and treatment while utilizing the resources available in the community and privately to help families. All of our work is donated by dedicated volunteers.

Kansas Lyme Fighter’s name was changed in January 2012 to Kansas Tick-Borne Disease Advocates, Inc. and is listed with the Kansas Secretary of State as a Nonprofit Corporation and a Charitable organization with a solicitation license. Our organization is applying for but does not have a 501 c 3 determination from the IRS. We are tax-exempt without a determination letter from the IRS because we have the 501 c 3 language in our Articles of Incorporation and according to the IRS, are able to issue tax-deductibible receipts.
