Heather Johnson of Loveland started a new Lyme disease support group for those suffering from the frequently misunderstood disease. “It’s a very lonely disease,” said Johnson, who has been cured of the disease for 1 1/2 years after having it for 20 years. “There are a lot of people who contract Lyme disease in Colorado, but it’s often misdiagnosed. … Doctors are not aware of it here.” Read more.
