Within these groups across the United States and other countries, there are fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters and so forth. As Dr. Jemsek states, “sooner or later” your family will be affected by this growing disease and you, too, will be trying to make a difference.
Brandi is a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, Christian, and caring person who volunteers her time to help others in need by providing support to those that continue to fight their battles with Lyme Disease and the other tick-borne diseases. Brandi is part of a group of five that work together to make this group possible. Pam, Bob, Brandi, Gina and Terry all work very hard to help those that feel abandoned and alone. Bob and Pam began the group last year in hopes of making helping others and raising awareness.
In 2009 after Brandi became seriously ill, she was diagnosed with Late Stage neurological Lyme Disease. She has a great support system from family and friends in her continuing battle. She grew up in Texas and used to do part-time counseling as a LPC. By remaining spiritually steadfast, she continues to help others in need through the Wichita Lyme Support Group. She has been a godsend to those in Kansas after she had to relocate to be near her family while she continues her battle with her chronic condition.
