We want the community to be held in the highest regards possible. Thank you!

Sincerely,
The Mayday Project

What is this all about and why?

“Join The Mayday Project for a protest and vigil at IDSA’s IDWeek medical conference in Philadelphia.

We are calling on IDSA to update its guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease to reflect the current state of science and improved standards for patient care. We demand an end to the conflicts of interest by researchers who create guidelines that discourage doctors from providing the best standard of care.

Together, we will send the message that the handling of the Lyme epidemic by IDSA, CDC and NIH is appalling and shameful and that patients are joining forces to fight back and demand reform. The protest will take place Saturday, October 11th from 8:00am to 3:00pm at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia. The night before, a candlelight vigil will be held outside the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, which is designated as the headquarters hotel for IDWeek. Please only hit “join” if you are 100% committed to attending Saturday.

If you also plan to participate in the candlelight vigil, click the link below to RSVP for that as well. https://www.facebook.com/events/1512505018992244

About the Mayday Project The Mayday Project is an advocacy group for Lyme disease patients, formed by volunteers who have been touched by Lyme in many ways. We aim to raise awareness about Lyme disease and related tick-borne illnesses. Mayday advocates for more accurate tests, better guidelines, improved access to treatment, increased education for physicians, and more funding for research.”
