Hospital Blasted Over Lyme Disease Tragedy
THE partner of a gamekeeper who died after being diagnosed with Lyme disease has demanded a fatal accident inquiry into the tragedy. The Crown Office is investigating father-of-two Scott Beattie’s death at the Highlands’ biggest hospital. The 43-year-old was head stalker at the Wyvis Estate in Ross-shire. He became ill in summer last year and was diagnosed with Lyme disease, which is caused by being bitten by an infected tick. Read more.
