HAVERHILL — When you meet Alexis Sarbanis, you hardly suspect anything could be wrong with her.
At age 28, she’s pretty, friendly and has a sparkling smile. Her home on Lindel Street, just off Summer Street, is immaculately kept, despite the presence of two active boys, ages 10 and 8. Three signs on the walls of her living room proclaim Faith, Family and Dream. Every day, however, this single mother endures pain that refuses to quit.
