Blanchard is co-founder and co-president of Lyme Research Alliance, formerly Time for Lyme, Inc., a nationally recognized nonprofit organization focused on research and education for Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. She has helped the organization grow and works toward its goals of better detection and treatment since 1998. Lyme Research Alliance has raised nearly $7 million to support research and education programs.
