Lyme: Treatment is Not “One Size Fits All”

Treating Lyme—There Are No Absolutes

Welcome to the labyrinth! Yours will be different from the next rodent infected with Lyme. You might be the mouse (okay, rat) who gets thrown into a relatively simple maze, but chances are, if your illness is chronic, you’ll get a windy path with lots of possible detours and dead-ends.  Hence, your journey will be different from your neighbor’s and your dog’s that both have Lyme, as there’s no one-size-fits all when it comes to mice, or mazes. Understand this when you head out on your healing path.  Yes, antibiotics work for some…yes, Rifing works for others…and what worked for one mouse will not work for another.

You’ll take many detours along the way, some leading you to a dead end, others bringing you closer to the exit. The only way to get that exit, however, is by scurrying along, and keeping at it though your strength may fail and your heart may get discouraged.

Eat some good cheese (or rat food); keep your body strong best you can, for the journey can be long and trying. You will pass through dark nights when you can’t see the detour in front of you, or can’t budge those back legs to get moving, but the sun will come out eventually and if you are willing, you can move forward again.

Especially if you get a few other mice to encourage you and help you along.

Below I list some of the “ways out” of the labyrinth. You might find that one or more combinations of these therapies are necessary to reach the finish line, or at least bring you closer. For some, the end will mean only going half-way and setting up a cozy abode inside the walled greenery, and being content to live with some limitations. For them, this is their end and their freedom. For others, it is beyond. You cannot know the way out until you run the race, bump into a few walls and miss a few openings in the shrubbery, but if you keep going, you’ll get there. Determination and a positive attitude are vital.

By the way, the “maps” listed below are written in very general terms, so that you might have an overall idea of the different paths available to those with Lyme disease. More specific information on each of these is available in books and on the web. The focus of the therapies listed here is on those that kill Lyme and co-infections. A separate protocol for balancing the body’s systems and detoxifying should be simultaneously undertaken.

And remember, run, run, run! You’ll bump into some walls but you weren’t born with a tough little skull for nothing!

Rifing and other electromagnetic therapies—did you know that all living organisms have a frequency range, and that by using an organism’s frequency range against itself, you can cause it to vibrate and literally shatter? This is the principle behind Rife, and by programming certain frequencies (say, 450 Hertz) into a frequency generator and allowing the frequencies to pass through a contact device, you can kill the Lyme spirochete. Rifing is an excellent option for Lyme but most don’t heal completely from Rife alone. Check out B. Rosner’s book, Lyme And Rife Machines, for more information. (Listed in my A to Z books).

Herbs—As powerful as traditional medicine’s antibiotics if not more so, herbs are a potent way to heal Lyme without damaging the body, (as antibiotics do) but some experimentation with doses and types is necessary. Check out H. Buhner’s or Dr. Zhang’s protocol (Their books are listed on my A to Z book list).

Homeopathy—Another powerful strategy for healing Lyme and which has taken many Lyme disease sufferers “out of the woods,” homeopathy involves administering a small dose of a substance which, in higher doses, would cause illness in a healthy person. The idea is to stimulate the body’s own healing defenses.

Salt/C—This inexpensive strategy involves taking high doses of vitamin C and sea salt, and works though osmotically-induced dehydration of the Lyme spirochete. Salt/C is said to work on all forms of Borrelia Burgdorferi, including the L-form and cystic form, and is showing promise for eliminating co-infections, too. Harmless to the body, salt/C has cured Lyme disease sufferers who have spent years doing antibiotics and other therapies, to no avail. Check out: www.lymestrategies.com

Immune Entrainment Therapy–By inputting a series of codes into the autonomic nervous system which direct the body to change its cellular behavior, great gains and remission from Lyme and other maladies can be realized. This therapy involves reading a list of codes and then listening to a CD of sounds containing instructions for the ANS to process. For more information, check out: www.lymefree.com.

Pharmaceutical Antibiotics—If you are a chronic Lyme disease sufferer, you’ll need to do high doses of several antibiotics, for at least six months, probably much longer. This is the traditional way of treating Lyme in the United States, though up to 40% of people who choose to do antibiotics relapse. Some believe that this is because Lyme develops resistance to antibiotics and can shift into to a cystic form, where it lies dormant and hiding in the body until antibiotics are discontinued. This protocol is not without risk of damage to the immune and other systems, but can be highly effective for treating Lyme and is the preferred method of treatment for the early stages of the disease. Check out Dr. J. Burrascano’s conference notes on: www.betterhealthguy.com under “Conferences”, or Dr. J. Schaller’s website: www.hopeacademic.com for some good antibiotic protocol information.

Colloidal Silver—Functions as an antibiotic and is very effective but in itself will probably not cure Lyme.

There are other therapies, such as hyperbaric oxygen, and others that will assist the body in combating Lyme, but these are the principal ones in use today and which seem to have the greatest track record in terms of effectiveness.

So, run, run, run, and you will find your way out of the shrubbery!
