Outdoors: Lyme Disease An Issue In Pennsylvania
Lyme disease reached a new level this week — I always knew it sucked. Friends and acquaintances have suffered and, I suspect, even succumbed to the tick-borne grim creeper. The symptoms, left untreated, masquerade as other more commonly diagnosed ailments. A lot of research has been done, and info is easy to find. But there’s a lot more to learn about diagnosis and treatment. The disease was recognized after a cluster of cases originally thought to be juvenile rheumatoid arthritis was found in three towns, including Lyme and Old Lyme, Conn., in 1975. Read more.
