LDOiowaWithin these groups across the United States and other countries, there are fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters and so forth. As Dr. Jemsek states, “sooner or later” your family will be affected by this growing disease and you, too, will be trying to make a difference.

Kris is a mother, daughter, sister, mother, wife, leader, community volunteer, teacher, advocate, group director, press/media coordinator, college adjunct professor/teacher and President.

The Lyme Disease Organization of Iowa (LDO) is under the Lyme Disease United Coalition (LDUC).Kris is the President of the LDO and the Chapter Leader/Coordinator of the Bremer County Area Lyme Disease/Hormone Support/Education Group and the administrator for the Facebook page of the Lyme Disease Support in Northeast Iowa.

krisAs a group, Kris, the Board of Directors and Area Advisors from around the state work diligently to bring awareness and education to inform the public about Lyme Disease and its treatment and diagnosis.She hopes that the teams’ efforts will make a difference.She is very thankful to the group members of approximately 50 that are very active by publicly sharing their stories to educate and inform and presenting “What is Lyme Seminars.”
